Welcome to Moyeo ("we," "our," or "us"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our event management platform.

Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, username, pronouns, profile photo, and optional information such as job title and location.

Event Data

We collect information about events you create or attend, including RSVPs, check-in records, ticket purchases, and event details you provide.

Photos

When you upload photos to events, we store and process these images on our secure cloud storage (BunnyCDN). Photos are associated with your account and the relevant event.

Payment Information

For Lifetime membership and ticket purchases, payment information is processed securely by Stripe or Toss Payments (for Korean users). We do not store your full payment card details on our servers.

Usage Data

We automatically collect information about how you interact with our services, including device information, browser type, IP address, and access times.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

Provide, maintain, and improve our event management services
Process transactions and send related information (confirmations, tickets, receipts)
Send notifications about events you're registered for or interested in
Respond to your comments, questions, and customer service requests
Send marketing communications (only with your consent)
Monitor and analyze usage patterns to improve user experience

Information Sharing

We may share your information in the following circumstances:

With Event Hosts

When you RSVP or purchase tickets for an event, the event host can see your name, profile information, and check-in status to manage their event.

With Payment Processors

We share necessary information with Stripe and Toss Payments (for Korean users) to process ticket payments, Lifetime membership purchases, and host payouts.

With Service Providers

We use Supabase for authentication and database services, and BunnyCDN for image storage. These providers process data on our behalf under strict confidentiality agreements.

Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or other legal processes, or to protect our rights and the safety of users.

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption. We use Supabase (cloud infrastructure) for database services and BunnyCDN for image storage. While we implement appropriate technical and organizational safeguards, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.

Data Retention

We retain your personal data for different periods depending on the type:

Account Information: Retained while your account is active. Upon account deletion, permanently removed within 30 days.
Event Data: Retained for 1 year after the event ends for your reference, then automatically deleted.
Photos: Retained until you or the event host deletes them, or until account deletion.
Payment Records: Retained for 5 years as required by tax and financial regulations.
Usage Logs: Retained for 90 days for security and debugging purposes.

Your Rights

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

Access: View your personal data through your account settings
Export: Download your data using the Export Data feature in Settings
Delete: Delete your account and associated data through Settings
Opt-out: Unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time

Our services are not intended for users under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will delete it promptly.

International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence. These countries may have different data protection laws. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for such transfers.
