Terms of Service - Moyeo

Introduction

Welcome to Moyeo. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our event management platform, including our website, mobile applications, and related services (collectively, the "Service").

By accessing or using Moyeo, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the Service.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Moyeo. By using our Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

Account Registration

When creating an account, you agree to:

Provide accurate, current, and complete information
Maintain the security of your account credentials
Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account
Not create more than one personal account
Not share your account credentials with others

Services Description

Free Tier

All users can access:

Create and manage free events
RSVP to public events
Browse and discover events
Upload and share photos at events
QR code check-in for events
Create and join groups

Lifetime ($99 one-time)

Lifetime members additionally receive:

Create paid events with ticket sales
Stripe Connect or Toss Payments integration for receiving payments
Settlement dashboard for revenue tracking
0% platform fee (only payment processor fees apply)

User Conduct

You agree not to:

Post false, misleading, or fraudulent event information
Harass, abuse, threaten, or discriminate against other users
Use the Service for any illegal activities
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
Upload malicious code, viruses, or harmful content
Scrape, crawl, or use automated means to access the Service without permission
Create fake events or spam other users
Violate any applicable laws or regulations

Content Ownership

Your Content

You retain ownership of content you create (events, photos, descriptions). By posting content on Moyeo, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, reproduce, and distribute your content in connection with operating and promoting the Service.

Photo Sharing

Photos uploaded to events are visible to all confirmed participants of that event. Event hosts may download and share photos from their events. By uploading photos, you confirm you have the right to share them and consent to their use within the Service.

Photo Policy Consent

Each event has a photo policy set by the host (all participants, host only, or disabled). By registering for an event, you acknowledge and consent to the event's photo policy. If photos are enabled, your image may be captured and shared within the event's photo album visible to all participants.

Payments and Subscriptions

Lifetime Membership

Lifetime membership is a one-time payment of $99 through Stripe. Once purchased, you have permanent access to all Lifetime features with no recurring charges. This is a one-time purchase that grants you lifetime access to create paid events, integrate with payment processors, and use all premium features. Future feature updates are included at no additional cost.

Event Ticket Payments

Ticket purchases for paid events are processed through Stripe or Toss Payments (for Korean users). Moyeo charges 0% platform fee - only standard payment processing fees apply. Payments go directly to the event host's connected payment account.

Host Payouts

Event hosts receive ticket revenue directly through Stripe Connect. Payout timing depends on Stripe's payout schedule for your connected account. Moyeo does not hold or process your funds directly.

Refunds

Lifetime Membership Refunds

Full refund is available within 14 days of purchase if you haven't created any paid events. No refunds are provided after 14 days or if you have created one or more paid events. Stripe Connect or Toss Payments setup alone does not affect refund eligibility. Refunds for billing errors or duplicate charges are handled on a case-by-case basis.

Event Ticket Refunds

Refund policies for event tickets are set by individual event hosts. Moyeo does not process ticket refunds directly - please contact the event host. Moyeo is not responsible for disputes between hosts and attendees regarding refunds.

Event Cancellation

If a host cancels a paid event, the host is responsible for providing full refunds to all ticket holders. Hosts must notify registered attendees of cancellation promptly. Moyeo is not responsible for losses or inconveniences caused by event cancellations. Repeated event cancellations without valid reason may result in account suspension.

Tax Responsibility

Event hosts are solely responsible for reporting and paying all applicable taxes on ticket sales revenue, including income tax, VAT, and any other local taxes. Moyeo does not withhold taxes or provide tax advice. Hosts should consult with a qualified tax professional regarding their tax obligations.

Intellectual Property

The Moyeo name, logo, and all related trademarks, service marks, and content created by Moyeo are our exclusive property. You may not use our trademarks or branding without prior written consent. The Service and its original content (excluding user content) remain our exclusive property.

Disclaimers

Service "As Is"

Moyeo is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

Third-Party Services

Our Service integrates with third-party services (Stripe, Google, Apple, etc.). We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or reliability of these third-party services.

Event Disclaimer

Moyeo is a third party service providing the technology for managing events. We are not the organizer of events and are not responsible or liable for event cancellations by the host, any content or activities related to the event, or the accuracy of event information provided by the host. Hosts have full control over their events and bear responsibility for communicating policies and resolving disputes. Refunds and disputes should be directed to the event host.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Moyeo and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Moyeo and its affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorney fees) arising from your use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.

Termination

By You

You may delete your account at any time through Settings. Upon deletion, your profile and associated data will be removed, though some information may be retained for legal or legitimate business purposes.

By Moyeo

We may suspend or terminate your account immediately, without prior notice, if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or for any other reason at our sole discretion.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Seoul, Korea.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of significant changes through the Service or via email. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
